We removed the battery pack: a massive 703kg piece of hardware. Pretty exciting for us and all our xEV Powertrain service users. We read and heard all the announcements of the OEM about the battery concept, modularity, electric and mechanical architectures, performance indicators… but you know A2Mac1 stands for fact-checking, not relying on unverified information. Therefore, we will refrain… for now !
At this stage, a few interesting facts stand out : a label showing the location of hoist points and connectors is on top of the pack which you cannot see until after the pack is removed. Probably a mistake. Also, we had to drop the front and rear suspensions before we could remove the pack.
