Road to Tesla Model Y : a look back at the Model 3 ELectric Powertrain and Thermal Management System – Knowledge
Even though the Model 3 was launched 3 years ago, it remains the benchmark for BEV and a great case-study to analyze. The Model Y has arrived at A2Mac1 and its analysis is in progress. What an opportunity to revisit the Tesla story.
A2Mac1 has been the first company to dismantle a Tesla Model 3. The quality and richness of the data we collected allow to study the functions and the design of systems. It includes the Electric Architecture, the EV machine and of course a complete analysis of the battery up to functional measurements of the cells.
Since Adaccess joined the A2Mac1 group early 2020, our static analysis have been complemented by a multitude of dynamic measurements to better understand how these systems work together and the associated optimization strategies. Economic data also complement them thanks to ECS, a company of an A2Mac1 group.
Our road to the Model Y goes through a new A2Mac1 Webinar on Tuesday, April 14. We will combine all Model 3 studies at our disposal and set the foundation for in-depth comparisons between both vehicles. We will play a close look at the workings of the Thermal Management System and also the Battery Charging Strategy.
